How to Look Good When You Don't Feel Good

How to Look Good When You Don't Feel Good

There is nothing wrong with caring about your personal appearance. We all have our "bad" days. So what about the days when you don't feel good about yourself or the days when you are physically ill? The best way to look good when you don't feel good is by following the steps below.

Step
1

Accessorize with the basics.

Whether feeling unattractive, unhappy or sick with a cold, you can always add a few accessory pieces to spruce up your look. Women should try to match earrings and bracelets. An easy way to do this is by wearing small studs or simple little gold or silver hoops. Both men and women can wear fashionable, sporty hats. Hats are a great way to cover up bed head.

Step
2

Consider the classic happy outfit.

Everyone should invest in a classic black, grey or brown button down or pullover shirt. Simplicity is classic. This shirt can be worn with a pair of comfortable pants, jeans or a skirt. It is in our nature to wear dull or neutral colors when we do not feel good, because a lot of times we don't want to bring attention to ourselves. This works like a charm, but just in case someone does take a peek, they won't be horrified.

Step
3

Cover up with a jacket.

Jackets are extremely versatile. Long jackets are especially good for those days when your clothing is not up to par, but you need to run out to the grocery store to pick up some comfort food or run to the pharmacy to grab a prescription. Short jackets are great when you wear a pair of jeans and you don't feel like changing out of your dingy, messy t-shirt.

Step
4

Wear comfortable flat shoes.

Sneakers, loafers, cute leather sandals or boots with no heel are all acceptable, comfortable attire when you want to look good, but you don't feel good. Women can choose a matching purse and men can wear a matching belt with a messenger bag.

Step
5

Go out and get your hair done.

A fresh hairdo is a great pick me up!

Tips & Warnings

A great way to look good when you don't feel good, but are expecting visitors, is to slip into your colorful matching pajama set. You may feel a little silly, but at least it beats walking around in a bleach stained t-shirt and basketball shorts!

Purchase comfortable cotton clothing for flexibility.

Do not go overboard! If you have a fever and feel faint, do not slip into a pair of 3 inch heels. You could injure yourself!

Make sure you cover your head in cold weather if you are suffering from a cold or sinus infection after you get your hair washed at the salon!
